Pumpkin Pie Spice

Updated On: May 22, 2024

Pumpkin Pie Spice is an easy blend to make yourself to have for the holiday baking season. It’s not only great for pumpkin pie, but also for coffee drinks, and savory stews .

I can see my friend Jenni over at Pastry Chef Online rolling her eyes right now.  She mentioned on Facebook that she was a little over the Pumpkin Pie spice this or thats, but I couldn’t help myself but to post this quick recipe for you.  I keep a jar on hand for making a quick Pumpkin Spiced Latte or for a sprinkling into Applesauce Pancakes and of course adding to good ole Pumpkin Pie.  Make some today and spice up your favorites with some cinnamony goodness.

Ingredients you’ll need to make homemade Pumpkin Spice blend

This super simple recipe incorporates spices you likely have in your cupboard and makes a quick spice blend that you can use to make pies, cakes, and even sprinkle on your morning coffee.

  • Cinnamon – ground baker’s cinnamon works best for this recipe
  • Nutmeg – freshly grinding nutmeg seeds will result in the best flavor, but you can use ground nutmeg for ease
  • Ginger – ground ginger powder
  • Allspice – ground allspice berries
