One of my easiest and most go-to recipes for a busy weeknight is homemade pizza’s.  In my house we like to call them “makeyourown” pizza’s.  I lay out all of the ingredients and let everyone load them up just the way they like it.  But first, you have to start with a great pizza dough recipe.  Yes, there are tons of recipes out there that take several hours of rising and punching, but on a weeknight, nobody’s got time for that.  So enter my go-to recipe for the easiest pizza dough EVER!

Making the dough is as easy as 1, 2, 3.  Start by adding 2 cups of all purpose flour to you food processor.  Add a teaspoon of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt and a packet of active dry yeast.  Give it a quick whiz to incorporate it and then add in 3/4 cup warm water with 2 teaspoons olive oil.  Run the food processor until the dough has come together.  Then let it run for another 60 seconds to “knead” it.

Turn the dough out onto a floured board and give it a couple of kneads to form a nice smooth ball.

Cover it with a glass bowl and let it rest for 20 minutes.

After it’s rested, then you can quarter the dough and make 4 personal pizzas or roll it out onto a round pizza pan and make one family sized pizza.  This recipe also works great to make grilled pizzas, cheesy dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls and so many other yeasty delicious things.
