20 Minute Pizza Dough Recipe

The easiest recipe for pizza dough and the best part is it only takes 20 minutes and you're ready to add toppings and bake.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ tsp instant or quick-rise yeast 1 packet (0.25 oz) *see note if using active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp granulated white sugar
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 2 tsp olive oil

Instructions

  • In the bowl of a food processor add the all purpose flour, yeast, sugar and salt. Pulse to combine. With the processor running, slowly add the water and olive oil until the dough comes together. Continue to process for another 60 seconds.
  • Turn dough out onto a floured board. Knead a couple of turns to form a smooth ball. Cover with a glass bowl for 20 minutes. Dough is ready to be used for pizzas and more.

Notes

Tips & Tricks

  • Active Dry Yeast - is different than instant yeast in that it needs to be "bloomed" before adding to flour. For this recipe, add the same amount of active dry yeast to the warm water and sugar and cover with a towel or a piece of plastic wrap and allow to bloom for 5 minutes, then proceed with the recipe above.
