Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 tbsp pumpkin puree canned or homemade
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ cup strong coffee or espresso
  • whipped cream to top (optional)

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, whisk together the milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, vanilla, and pumpkin pie spice.
  • Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until hot but not boiling.
  • Brew strong coffee or espresso and pour it into your favorite mug.
  • Froth the pumpkin-milk mixture using a whisk, milk frother, or immersion blender until it’s light and foamy.
  • Pour the pumpkin milk over the coffee and stir gently to combine.
  • Top with whipped cream and a dusting of pumpkin pie spice, if desired.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your cozy fall latte.

Notes

Tips for Storing

  • Store leftover pumpkin milk mixture (without coffee) in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave, whisking to recombine before adding to fresh coffee.
  • Do not store assembled lattes, as the foam and coffee lose their texture after sitting.
  • Freeze leftover pumpkin puree in ice cube trays to use in future lattes or baking.
