Classic Cranberry Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 large orange zested
  • 1 red apple peeled, cored and cut into 1/2 inch dice
  • 12 oz fresh cranberries picked over
  • cup honey
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • pinch kosher salt

Instructions

  • In a medium sauce pan over high heat, add all ingredients. Bring to a boil and then turn down to medium and stir occasionally for 15 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst and the mixture has began to thicken.
  • Remove from heat and let cool before serving. Can be made up to 3 days in advance and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Bring to room temperature before serving.
