Kashi Cereal Review

by FarmgirlGourmet February 15, 2012

The fine folks at Kashi sent out a sampling of cereals to the Virtual Potluck team to review.  They sent me a box of each cereal pictured above.  Normally I would’ve made something using the cereal, but I decided to just eat it.  In a bowl.  With milk.  Here’s what the consensus was at Farmgirl Gourmet Worldwide Headquarters:

Honey Sunshine: The hubs really dug this one.  For me, it needed some add-ins – like banana or berries.  Don’t get me wrong, it was edible, just not my fave.

Berry Blossoms:  If you like Captain Crunch berries – then this is for you.  It’s Captain Crunch for adults.  No need to hide in a dark room to eat it.  I like this one a lot.

Cinnamon Harvest:  By far, my most fave of the 3.  It tastes like Shredded Wheat cereal without the white “frosting” and has a healthy dose of cinnamon goodness.  I just finished a bowl of it before I typed this post.

If you’re in the market for something new for breakfast, you might give one or all 3 of these a shot.

Check out Foodhunter’s Guide for a kicked up recipe using the cereals.  I wish I would’ve thought of these.

Disclaimer: I and other members of Virtual Potluck were sent a box of each of the cereals mentioned above and were in no way remunerated for a positive review.  All opinions on Farmgirl Gourmet are my own and are priceless nuggets.  Thank you for reading.
