Food52 Cookbook Giveaway – Winner Announced!!

by FarmgirlGourmet

It’s been a few days since I’ve given anything away, so I thought it was time to start up another fun giveaway!  The Virtual Potluck team works with major brands and book publishers.  Like our last giveaway with Marx Foods where we all gave away Madagascar Vanilla Beans and Japon Chiles.  Well this giveaway is brought to you by William Morrow Books and is…dare I say…..fantastic!  Food52 is the recipe project started by Amanda Hesser and Merrill Stubbs to celebrate the best home cooks in the country.  It ran for 52 weeks (hence the 52) on www.food52.com where each week was a new recipe contest.  The 140 winning recipes are in the cookbook that I’m giving away!  It’s called Food52 Cookbook: 140 Winning Recipes From Exceptional Home Cooks and – it’s amazing.

Pasta with Prosciutto, Snap Peas, Mint and Cream

Last night I made the pictured pasta dish above.  It was so easy to make and the whole family was digging it!  And digging into it.  And fighting over who was going to get to take the leftovers for lunch.  Anyway, the ingredients are readily available at the grocery store.  If you’ve never bought Prosciutto before, it’s usually in the cheese case where you buy the more gourmet cheeses and sometimes with the pre-cut salamis.  Don’t forget to take the clear plastic dividers out before you start chopping the prosciutto!  🙂  Been there, done that.  The recipe is on page 352 of the book or can be found on Food52.

So what do you think?  Want to win this book?  Sure you do!  Even if you’re not a big fan of cooking, this would make a super Christmas gift!  Think of that person in your family who would love you forever if you gave them 440 pages of deliciousness!  Let’s do it….

AND THE WINNER IS……….

I’ve been lusting after this cookbook since I first heard about it, so I’m pretty sure I’d keep it for myself. But I do give lots of cookbooks as gifts too and if I really like it, I’ll likely buy a copy or two to give away.
