Rumors, Happiness and Raised Beds

Updated On: Sep 05, 2023

My Dad bought this camera a year or so ago.  He has really loved it and is rarely seen without it…including the ginormous lens that is so heavy that he has to have a “leg” attached to it to hold it up.  Yes, it’s true.  Everytime I see him I am always taking it away to play with it.  He knows that I am ready to progress to the next step in photography and leave behind the point and shoot.  Anyway, yesterday we were at a Choral Festival that my daughter was participating in and he was, of course, holding the giant beauty.  He leaned over and asked me if the Mall had a camera shop, to which I replied that I had not idea.  He then said “well, I’m thinking you’re going to get this camera VERY soon”.  Yes, my heart pitter pattered a little.  Ok, a lot.  So, rumor has it that I may be gifted a camera very soon so if you notice that the pics on this blog get a little better – you’ll know that he upgraded his camera.  I heart hand-me-downs.  Especially when they are of the electronic kind.

Lately I have been trying very hard to shift my thinking.  It’s easy to let the weather get you down and you have probably seen, on a few occasions, that I have been whining about the rain, snow, lack of sunshine, etc. I guess I’m not perfect at projecting happiness sometimes.

I think we’re all a bit tired of the lack of Spring, at least here in the soggy Northwest.  So today I am vowing to stop thinking negative about the current weather and instead start thinking positive about the warm sunshine and gorgeous days ahead.  Are you in?  One of my favorite motto’s is “what you think about, you bring about”.  So if we all think about Sunny Spring Days together, then they will surely be here before we know it. No more doom and gloom!  OK?  Okay!

And last but not least is Raised Beds.  Oh how I love thee, let me count the ways!  Ok, I won’t count but really I do love them.  The Hubs has built me 2 so far.  This Friday I will be waiting (hopefully 1st in line) at the Compost Station here in town to have my truck loaded with Black Gold!  I’m estimating about 3 cubic yards will fill the 2 beds so if you’re around on Friday and want to get “dirty” then come on by, I have extra shovels.  🙂  Seriously, I am ready to get outside and start gardening.  My brain is swirling with ideas on what to do with the yard as it’s one giant “green” slate.  Green being grass.  I’m not a fan of grass.

So, here’s to a new(ish) camera, positive thinking and gardening like a crazy woman!

Happy Wednesday to you and remember “what you think about, you bring about”

SUNNY SPRING WARM DAYS!

That is all!
