Change is gonna come….

by FarmgirlGourmet December 11, 2008

Well, I guess I’m not so good at “blogging”. It appears that I go a month and then remember to post. So, since November 9th, some things have changed. First, and most exciting, is that I’ve taken a new job. I’m hanging up my Realtor Hat for a Project Management position at Sacred Heart Medical Center. It’s pretty darn exciting! I never imagined myself as a PM, but I think it will be an interesting and fulfilling adventure learning it. It was rough saying goodbye to my Broker and his Mom. They have changed my life forever with their kindness and generosity. Secondly, Mother Nature has decided that it’s time to start making some white stuff. This morning when I woke up it looked like it had snowed, but it was a think blanket of frost. The temps have been going down all morning and we’re forecasted to get 4-10 inches of snow in the next couple of days. Time to hunker down and start finding some inside projects to keep us all busy. The last change is that we have a new addition to our enormous family. His name is Tug and he’s a 3 month old Labrabull – Ok, he’s a pit bull/lab cross. I like Labrabull though. We think he’s channeling our deceased dog, Buster. They are so unbelievably similar, it’s freaky! We totally lucked out with this little guy. He’s a wonderful dog and is fitting in very nicely! Pics to come!

So now that I have a “real” job, as my kids put it. I have decided that it’s time to really start utilizing my Crock Pot more. So, I’ve been testing recipes and have a couple of good ones so far. One is Tamale Pie which the kids and husband gobbled up like they hadn’t eaten in weeks. Tonight it’s going to be Chicken Cacciatore. Smells amazing already and it’s only been cooking for an hour! I’ll post the recipe after we eat it….just to be certain it’s a keeper! 🙂

Thanks for reading!
