Wusthof 4-Piece Gourmet Knife Give Away

Wusthoff Knife Set

Chef Pro Knives asked if my readers would like a giveaway of a gorgeous 4-piece knife set from Wusthof (Retail $110).  Heck ya you would, right?  They sent me the set to test out and I can tell you that my kids are in love with the cheese plane.  We had one many years ago, but just like that sock that never shows up again, the cheese plane met the same demise.

It’s funny how you become complacent with the tools in your kitchen, never really questioning their usefulness until you are given a quality tool that seems to put your tried and true to serious shame.  Enter the wine bottle opener.  About 15 years ago I was sent a wine bottle opener from Gourmet Magazine.  It was incredible.  Then one day, my Mom decided it was hers and commandeered it.  We went back and forth about who it belonged to, until I finally conceded and let her have it.  I bought another that never quite compared, but alas it’s still in my tool drawer.  The wine bottle opener in this set is like the one I received long ago, but nicer.  I know, you’re probably asking yourself, how can a wine bottle opener be that great.  It just is, it opens smoothly, with little effort and the cork screw is nice and sharp.  I finally have a nice bottle opener again and I am over the moon happy.

The cheese knife is laser sharp, which is a standard for Wusthof knives and the cutting board is the right size for displaying an array of cheeses at your next party.

So what do you think?  Would you like a chance at winning this gorgeous set for yourself?  See below for entry instructions and best of luck to you!

  1. I know the contest ended some time ago. But I wanted to add that the cheese knife that Wusthof has is awesome sharp. We go through a decent amount of cheese at this house so this knife sees a lot of action!

    1. Hi Rebecca – this giveaway ended quite some time ago. Sorry for any confusion. I will have a giveaway starting tomorrow (Friday 3/22/2013) for a Le Creuset skillet, Land O Lakes Butter and beautiful kitchen items from Anthropologie. Come back and enter. Again, sorry for the confusion. ~Heather

  2. Wow, how to pick a favourite? My kitchenaid stand mixer has always been my “stand by” through the years. I’m just discovering the joys of other items as well.

  3. Wow, I hope this is still open because I am nuts for Wustohof! Our best kitchen utensil is our set of Wustof knives which we use passionately every single day! And I didn’t know they made great products like these! Fabulous gift set!

    1. Jamie – did you sign up via Rafflecopter? Its up above the comment section. I didn’t see your name listed on the spreadsheet for entries. Let me know if you’re having an issue and I can manually add you in to the giveaway. 🙂

  4. I couldn’t live without my chef’s knife.

Hope your new bottle opener is safe from your mom… does she know about this one yet?

  5. Cheese plane! I actually have a similar cheese plane, although it’s super old one and has a cracked handle. Otherwise, the tea strainer is a crucial part of every morning. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

  6. One item?? I love my kitchen stuff and have rotating favorites but one? Its gotta be my chef knives–chop, filet chicken and just make prep so much easier!

Thanks for sharing the good stuff!

  7. My favorite kitchen tool is my brownie pan! No really, its like the devil. The one thing that I use quite often is my Kitchenaid Stand Mixer. Be it cake, cookies, BROWNIES, pizza dough, bread or any other lovely thing I find while perusing Pinterest it seems to never stop running and is extremely reliable. Thanks for the opportunity to score some new cutting tools, I am finishing the final touches on a couple of butcher block style cutting boards for ME made from some hard maple. They should last the rest of my life and maybe even a couple of extra generations!

  8. Oh, you should see my gadget drawers! I have so many, and love them all. The one I use the most is a pop-can opener. Really saves the fingernails. For cooking – garlic press or zester are used more than anything.

  9. My favorite kitchen tool is my professional kitchen aide stand up mixer I got from my mum for Christmas 2 years ago.

  10. I don’t remember what the blog comment was suppose to be about….damn I’m old but I did help you you to get over 4000! I hate being the first one to comment – we never win 🙁
