Honey Glazed Spicy Chicken Thighs recipe

Last nights dinner was “Tween’s Choice”.  She’s been working really hard for her Basketball team so on late nights she usually gets to choose what we have for dinner.  Last night she picked Honey Glazed Spicy Chicken Thighs (her all time fave).  This recipe is super easy to make and tastes like you worked at it all day.  You can either make it with the skin on or off.  The picture is off my plate, which was broiled with no skin.  The kids need the calories, not me.  🙂

Let me know what you think!

Honey Glazed Spicy Chicken Thighs
{Printable Recipe}

10 Bone-in, Chicken Thighs (skin on or skin off – your choice)
1 tbsp kosher salt
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp chili powder
pinch crushed red pepper flakes (or 2 if you like extra spice)
4+ tbsp honey

1) Mix together the dry ingredients in a small bowl.
2) In a large bowl add the chicken thighs and sprinkle with the spice mixture.  Give it a good toss and place the thighs on a baking sheet
3) Broil the chicken for 8 minutes then turn over and broil for another 8 minutes.  Flip the chicken back over and drizzle each piece with honey.  Broil for another 2-3 minutes and flip over for another 2-3 minutes.  Make sure you watch as the sugars in the honey will burn quick.
4) Enjoy!

    Made this for dinner tonight, even made the same sides. My husband couldn’t get enough of it! Loved it! Everyone else ate it without complaint, which in my house is a miracle!! Thanks for another recipe to add to my rotation.

    @City Share I love the spice combo on Pork Tenderloin too. Then mix some apricot jam and bbq sauce and heat it up, pour it over when you serve…oh my goodness…delicious! I hope you enjoy! Happy St. Paddy’s Day!

    That looks gorgeous. The spice combination sounds delcious. I have never tried making chicken under the broiler before. I have some chicken legs in the fridge for tonight. Maybe I’ll give it a try.
